Loakan Ghost Story

There are lots of scary stories about ghosts along Loakan Road.  A guy was left behind by a large group of mountain bikers.  He had no cellphone and waited for a ride at the roadside when a strong storm with driving rain and howling winds came in - a storm so strong he could hardly see a few meters ahead of him.

Suddenly, out of the gloom, he saw a ghostlike and silent car very slowly approaching. It stopped just where he was.  He swallowed his fear, got into the car, closed the door, and realized that there was nobody behind the wheel.

The car slowly started moving. The guy was terrified and couldn’t move a muscle, too scared to even think of jumping out and running. He saw the car was approaching a sharp curve and started praying out loud for his life; he was sure it would go off the road and he would plunge to his death . . .  when just before the curve, a hand appeared through the window and turned the steering wheel, guiding the car safely around the bend.

Terrified, the guy watched the hand reappear every time they reached a curve. Finally, the guy saw some lights and gathering his wits, leapt from the car and ran to the lights, hoping he would be safe.

Wet and in shock, he went into a store and voice quavering, ordered 2 bottles of beer and in between gulps told the storeowners about his strange and eerie ride.

An uneasy silence enveloped everyone when they realized the guy was sane and not drunk.

About half an hour later, two guys walked into the same store. One says to the other..........

"Yan! . . . siya nga yung sumakay habang nagtutulak tayo! . . . "
