The pastor of a well-attended and enthusiastic church was often ready and able to deal with any situation that came up. One Sunday, as he was reaching the climax of his sermon, his young son entered the church, ran to the center aisle, started making loud “brrrooomms”, then ran right toward him.
The minister stopped his sermon, pointed at his son, and said, "Arthur, drive the car toward your mother on that bench (pointing), park it, turn off the ignition, and hand her the keys."
After the congregation had a good laugh, the sermon continued undisturbed.
