Getting Organized - Or Trying To

Time has always been at a premium, and that has never been more true than at present when there seem to be so many necessary things to do and not enough time to accomplish them.

Clutter is a great thief of time – and it creates a chaotic atmosphere in the home.  Weeding out clutter is a big help – so here are some tips to an organized home.

  • Don’t keep more things than you need and don’t keep anything that isn’t useful or loved.

  • Place baskets in every room to collect anything that needs to be returned to another room in the house.

  • Make it a rule that whenever you buy something, you get rid of something.

  • Change your thinking from “I have only 15 minutes; I can’t start – “ to “I’ve got 15 minutes; what can I finish in this time?”

  • Double recipes and freeze one for a meal later in the week.  Great help, this.

  • Use a daily planner/organizer and write your “to-do” lists, appointments and notes so that everything you need to remember will be in one place.

Here’s hoping that these tips will help you create more time for family, friends and yourself!
