PEZA Christmas Fair 2003
by Administrator
Saturday - November 15, 2003 (GMT+8)
The Philippine Economic Zone Authority Baguio City Economic Zone (PEZA-BCEZ) will be holding its annual fair this coming November 14 to December 31, 2003 at the BCEZ Multi-Purpose court, just in time for the Yuletide Season.
This yearly undertaking of the PEZA-BCEZ primarily aims to contribute to the creation of vital incremental employment and other economic opportunities as well as to give residents a chance to buy export-quality products made by the companies located in BCEZ and other PEZA economic zones at affordable prices. Secondary to this would be to provide business opportunities to local manufacturers and other export-oriented businesses. Racing games online, racing games fo free.
According to PEZA-BCEZ Administrator Sansaluna Pinagayao, the fair has been annually conducted for the past 18 years. He added that its existence has greatly contributed in increasing tourist arrivals especially during the holiday season.
This year, BCEZ has approved the participation of different export-oriented local manufacturers endorsed and recommended by the Department of Trade and Industry. They will sell furniture, bamboo crafts, food preserves. Others are selected manufacturers of fine silver jewelries, scented candles, shoes and producers of ornamental plants. Manufacturers of Marikina shoes and bags will also be featured as a way of PEZA's help to the community. PEZA-BCEZ also approved the participation and sale of products made by inmates in order to extend economic opportunities to the inmates at the Baguio City jail. Aside from this the organizers also invited the adjoining barangays of Loakan, Apugan and Loakan-Liwanag to sell their products which include furniture, ornamental plants and leather crafts.
From the PEZA products on sales are products from well-known brands such as wearing apparel, shoes, socks, watches, bags, embroidered linens, M&M dispensers and other novelties, photo albums, hand-painted wooden products, ceramics, household products and other export quality merchandise.
The opening ceremony is scheduled on November 14, 2003 at 10:30 in the morning at the BCEZ Multi-Purpose court in Loakan.
Entrance during the opening day is free and everyone will have a chance to win in the raffle draw.
